For managing our local machines used for Hybrid Execution, we can use the Systems page provided inside Testsigma App.
We can navigate to the Systems page by clicking on the Systems icon on the left navigation bar.
Clicking on the Systems icon takes us to the Systems page.
Note: The Hostnames has been obliterated for confidentiality
- If you have already added Systems, your Systems page will look as shown above.
- Start typing in the search box labelled Search Host Name with Hostname to filter the Systems list.
- Click on the +Create button to create a new system and follow the create section below in this article.
- Click on the Edit icon to do edit your existing systems and follow Edit section below in this article.
- Click on Delete icon to remove your existing system and follow Delete section below in this article.
Clicking on the Create button on top right corner takes us to the Create System page and it looks as shown below:
Enter the details as given below:
Title: Enter a suitable Name/Title for your System.
Protocol: Select the Protocol used for communication between Testsigma servers and the local machine.
Select HTTP only if you are facing issues with HTTPS.
Host Name: Enter the IP address of the System on the local network on which you intend to run the Tests locally. If the Local IP of the system changes due to addition of new devices on the network, we might need to update the IP again.

Port: Enter the Port number for communcating with Testsigma servers.
Use 8080 for general purposes. If you are using Appium Server to connect your mobile device for hybrid Tests, use the Port number specified in Appium Server.

Platform: Select platform in which we are going to run the Hybrid Tests.
After entering the required details, click on Create button to add the System. We will get a success notification stating that the System has been added to the Inventory successfully.
Alternative way to create a System
While creating a regular Execution, it is mandatory to create an Execution Configuration.
If you try to create a Hybrid Execution Configuration without creating a System, we will get a warning stating that Targets machines are not available.
Right below that, a shortcut link will be presented to Create a System.
Click on the Click here to create system link. We will be taken to the Create System page.
Follow the steps in the Create System section above to create the System. After creating the System, restart the Execution creation by going to the Create Execution page.

Clicking on the Edit icon besides the System name in Systems page opens up the Edit System page.
Make necessary changes and click on Update buttton to save the changes.
Clicking on the Delete icon besides the System name in Systems page opens up a confirmation dialog.
If the System is already used in one or more Execution Configurations, it will not allow us to delete the System until the dependencies are removed i.e until the Systems are removed from the Execution configurations. Below given is a sample of the error message displayed.
